These trips work well for couples, families, friend groups, solo travellers, and working professionals looking for a balanced Himalayan getaway from Delhi.
Table of Contents
ToggleThis Manali kasol tour packages works because the two destinations do not feel like the same trip. Manali is a proper hill town with a main road, activity vendors, a busy market, and the kind of energy that comes from being one of Himachal's most visited places. Kasol is the opposite: a small settlement beside the Parvati River where the loudest thing in the evening is usually a cafe playlist. Putting both in one itinerary means you get pace and quiet in the same trip rather than having to choose.
The first day in Manali typically covers Hadimba Temple, a walk through Old Manali, and Solang Valley. The second day shifts toward Kasol after an early departure from Manali, with the afternoon spent at riverside cafes or walking the trail to Chalal village. The third day is usually kept open for Manikaran Sahib or more time along the river before the drive to Bhuntar for the Delhi bus.

Manikaran Sahib hot spring and gurudwara
Two very different Himachal moods in four days
The Atal Tunnel is what makes this route possible in four days. Before it opened, getting from Manali to the Lahaul side meant crossing Rohtang Pass, which added hours and was impossible in bad weather or winter. Now you drive into the tunnel on the green Kullu Valley side and emerge into a completely different world: flat, wide, treeless, with snow sitting on the mountains above all year round. Sissu is the first significant stop after the tunnel exit, and it earns its place on the itinerary purely on scenery. There is a prominent waterfall visible from the road and an open mountain valley that photographs well in any season.
After Sissu, the route loops back through Manali and heads south toward Kasol. This means two nights in the Manali area and one in Kasol, which gives the trip a strong mountain core before ending on the Parvati Valley side.
Distance from Delhi to Manali: 530 km. Distance route from Manali to Sissu: 65 km via Atal Tunnel. Distance from Manali back to Kasol: 240 km via Bhuntar.
Day 0: Overnight bus from Delhi to Manali

Day 2: Drive through Atal Tunnel to Sissu, waterfall stop and valley viewpoints, return to Manali for the night
Day 3: Drive from Manali to Kasol via Bhuntar, afternoon at riverside cafes, overnight stay in Kasol
Day 4: Morning free in Kasol, drive to Bhuntar, board evening bus to Delhi
Best Time to Visit: October to February for snow at Sissu, April to June for clear open roads
Atal Tunnel crossing from Kullu Valley into Lahaul
Sissu waterfall and wide open mountain valley
Snow peaks visible from the Lahaul roadside year round
Old Manali cafes and Solang Valley on the way
Parvati River stays in Kasol to close out the trip
Rohtang is the reason a lot of people take their first Himachal trip. Snow on the road, mountains on both sides, and a view from the pass that makes the drive worth every hour from Delhi. Access requires a permit that is obtained the day before through the local authority, and Trip Guru Go handles this as part of the manali rohtang package so you are not standing at a permit counter at 5 am. The season for Rohtang runs from roughly late May to October depending on snowfall. Outside that window, Solang Valley remains open for activities year round and the Atal Tunnel gives you a snow-adjacent experience without the permit requirement.
Two full days in Manali with Solang Valley on one and Rohtang on the other gives you a complete picture of what this part of Himachal offers. Evenings on Mall Road and in Old Manali fill the rest of the time without effort.

Distance from Delhi to Manali: 530 km. Trek start point Jobra is 15 km from Manali.
Hampta Pass is what happens when a trek gives you a genuine mountain crossing rather than a walk to a viewpoint and back. The trail starts from Jobra on the Manali side, climbs through dense forest and river meadows, passes a glacier section, and crosses the pass at around 4270 metres before dropping into the bone-dry landscape of Lahaul. The two sides of the pass look like different countries. You leave green valley and arrive at grey rock and sky.
This is a camping trek. Nights are at riverside campsites and high meadows with no guesthouses, which means the experience is more raw than a typical hill-station package. Fitness requirement is moderate rather than technical: you need stamina for 5 to 8 km of daily walking with elevation gain, but no prior mountaineering experience. Chandratal Lake can be added on the final day if weather and road conditions allow.

Distance from Delhi to Chopta: 250 km, 8 to 9 hours by road via Haridwar and Ukhimath.
Chopta does not get the same attention as Manali or Kasol but it probably should. It sits inside the Kedarnath Wildlife Sanctuary in Uttarakhand, which means the forest around the road is intact and the birdlife is genuinely good. The trek to Tungnath takes about 4 km of uphill trail through oak forest and opens at one of the oldest Shiva temples in existence, sitting at 3680 metres. Chandrashila is another 1.5 km above that and the summit view on a clear day covers Nanda Devi, Trishul, Chaukhamba, and Kedarnath.
Winter converts the whole route into a snow trek, which is a different experience from the summer version and equally valid. The rhododendron bloom in March and April adds colour that is hard to find on most Himalayan trails this close to Delhi. At 250 km, it is also the shortest drive on this list, which means less time in transit and more time at the destination.
Day 0: Overnight drive from Delhi to Chopta via Haridwar
Day 1: Arrive Chopta by morning, rest and short acclimatisation walk, overnight at camp or lodge
Day 2: Trek to Tungnath Temple, continue to Chandrashila summit, return to Chopta by evening
Day 3: Morning walk or birdwatching in Kedarnath Sanctuary forest, drive back toward Delhi
Best Time to Visit: March to June for open trails, December to February for snow trekking
Chandrashila summit views across four major Himalayan ranges
Tungnath Temple, one of the highest Shiva temples in the world
Kedarnath Wildlife Sanctuary forest with intact wildlife corridor
Snow trek option in winter, rhododendron bloom in spring
Shortest drive from Delhi on this list at 250 km
Beyond Manali, Kasol, Chopta, and Triund, there are several other great 4-day trips near Delhi. Bir Billing is perfect for paragliding and peaceful cafΓ©s, Jibhi Tirthan offers riverside stays and forest views, while Rishikesh combines rafting, camping, and adventure sports. These destinations are ideal for couples, friends, solo travellers, and weekend group getaways.
Trip Guru Go builds 4-day trips around who is actually travelling and what they want from the trip. The packages listed above are starting points. If you want to swap a night in Manali for an extra day in Kasol, add a snow activity, shift the departure date by a day, or upgrade the accommodation at one stop, we adjust the plan. No itinerary leaves our desk looking like it was copy-pasted from last season.
We cover accommodation, all internal transfers between destinations, key activity coordination, and on-ground support throughout the trip. Talk to our travel expert to plan around your dates and group size.
Kasol and Parvati Valley are underrated as couple destinations. The atmosphere is quiet, the riverside stays are genuinely good, and there is enough to do without a packed sightseeing schedule. Manali gives couples more variety in terms of activities and restaurants if that is what you want. We plan couple itineraries with hotel upgrades and private transfers where the standard group package would not suit.
Manali is the most family-friendly destination on this list, with accessible sightseeing, clear roads, and activity options spread across different age groups. The Chopta route works well for families with older children who enjoy walking. We pay close attention to accommodation quality and meal availability when planning family trips, because those two things determine whether parents actually enjoy the trip or spend it managing problems.
Manali Rohtang and Manali Kasol are the most popular group packages we run from Delhi. Groups get more out of these destinations because the activities are shared, the evenings in cafes and around bonfires are social, and the transport costs split well across larger numbers. Hampta Pass is worth considering for groups where most people have basic fitness and want something that feels like an actual adventure rather than a sightseeing circuit. If your friend group are planning from delhi then you can join weekend group trips from delhi
Kasol and Dharamshala have the strongest solo traveller communities of any destination on this list. Guesthouses in both places are used to solo arrivals and make it easy to meet other travellers. If you are travelling solo and want a structured group departure rather than planning independently, you can explore our solo group tour packages from delhi or reach our team so that we will match you to a shared group
The clearest skies and the most comfortable temperatures across Manali, Kasol, and Dharamshala. Snow arrives at higher altitudes and Rohtang becomes inaccessible, but Sissu via the Atal Tunnel gives you winter mountain views without the permit and road risk. Accommodation fills fast in peak months. Book four to six weeks ahead for November and December departures.
The Himalayan trekking season opens properly from March. Chopta is excellent in March with rhododendron in flower. Kasol and McLeodganj are lively from April. Hampta Pass opens in June. Rohtang becomes accessible again in late May. This window gives you the widest range of activities across all the destinations above.
Monsoon brings rain to Himachal roads and some routes become unpredictable. Kasol and Dharamshala remain accessible but travel days should have buffer time built in. Chopta is green and lush in this period. The upside: accommodation rates drop, destinations are quieter, and the mountain views after rain are sharper than any other time of year.
The destinations above fill up faster than most people expect, particularly in October, November, April, and May. Popular treks like Hampta Pass have limited campsite capacity, and Manali hotels book out during long weekends. The best time to sort your trip is about three to four weeks before you want to travel.

Cash: ATMs are available in Manali, Kasol, and Dharamshala. Carry cash before heading into Lahaul or Spiti as ATM coverage thins out beyond Keylong.

For mountain scenery and cafe culture together, Manali Kasol is the most complete option. For trekking, Hampta Pass or Chopta Chandrashila depending on how much altitude you want. For a quieter trip with good scenery, Jibhi and Tirthan Valley. The right answer depends on what your group wants from the four days.
Yes, for all the packages listed above. Each itinerary is built around three full days at or between destinations, which is enough to cover the highlights without feeling rushed. Some routes like Hampta Pass benefit from an extra day as a buffer for weather, but four days is workable.
